Lovely friendly staff , chips were very dry with lots of ends ! , Fish was nice but batter very dry . Curry sauce not very nice or the gravy , also ordered a battered sausage which wasn't battered when we got home

Dear Andy We so sorry you feel this way, about our discount scheme? As a result of your comment, we've decided to take down 10% discount to all with immediate effect to all NHS, fire crew, police and armed forces, so it's fair to all concerned. We personally didn't like your comment that we don't care about bluelight card holders, as you took a direct swing at us, although we not classed as key workers, we are classed essential workers, as we to risked our health and wellbeing by remaining open to serve the community of Dorking during this terrible pandemic and many of our customers thanked us and respected that we could remain open. All our fish and chip shops in our group, chose to serve customers through closed doors and serve customers through open windows, so no customers could enter their shops. We took our approach differently, we chose to keep our doors open so we could interact our customers on a personal level instead of keeping them outside. Not for once, did we ever disrespect any key workers during our lockdown and we have tremendous respect for everyone concerned and the amazing jobs and sacrifices they did, including yourself as bluecard holders, as did we by remaining choosing to remain open. We could of remained closed and claim benefits and support from the government, but we didn't. So if you choose take your business elsewhere, by all means. We choose to deliver a good product and great customer service, which all our customers love and come to respect, apart from yours! And even though you've started of by saying, lovely fish and chips, speaks great volumes and I won't comment on rest. We wish you well, the retirement home and pensioners you serve. Lovely Fish & Chips, but what short memories. A year ago we stood clapping on our doorsteps for our ESSENTIAL KEY WORKERS. Now this chip shop will only recognise Fireman, Police, Ambulance and NHS. Will not recognise the Bluelight Card either. Care workers are no longer recognised as key workers by this shop. As a registered manager of a home care agency I did use this shop as the 10% discount was a little bonus to the clients who liked the change of a ready meal to fish and chips. It is the point of principal, we are all in this together but not if your a carer apparently. Shame on you and I will take my business else where Andy
