My lease ended at the end of April. My plans fell through and so I applied to 3 apartment complexes. Park West End was one of them. I called to inquire about the property and vacancies 3-4 times. I never received an answer. I should have known then that this process would be inconvenient. Because of the timeframe and my financial situation, I applied any way (3.22.20). The complex is in a convenient location and in my price range. Toward the end of the application, I put my card information in for the application fee, admin fees AND move-in fees. The fees added up to 350.00. And then there was some fee for using my debit card. So the total actually ended up being 353.95. I thought the amount for the upfront fees was odd but because of my situation, I completed the application. I called 2-3 times after I completed the application. I finally got a call back from a leasing agent that confirmed my application was being processed but was hesitant to offer any more information. After some more back and forth, I believe it was the manager (Michaela) who reached out to me and told me that my application was denied. She wasnt able to give me an explanation. And I understood that. At this point, my only concern was a refund for at least the move-in fee. Michaela told me that she would get back with me because she was unsure if any of the fees were refundable. Im thinking, how can I pay for a move-in cost when I didnt actually move in. After some more back and forth, on April 3, I talked to Michaela again and she confirmed that I would receive 250.00 back. She couldnt give me a time frame but she told me that they would cut a check if not that week then the week after. She explained that their corporate office or whoever cuts the check, is in California. And considering the location and everything going on with this pandemic, it might take a while to receive my refund. I completely understood. Its been over a month since I was denied and there is no refund check. I did not want to be a pest so I did not call back to follow up until 30 days of not receiving correspondence OR my refund. I have emailed and received no response. Ive called...no answer. I think that this is unfair. I should at least be able to get an update on when Ill receive my refund. Especially with everything that is going on and after losing a job, 250.00 is a large amount of money to throw away. I wont call this company again to follow up. But I will review and rate this company every week until I receive my refund.

Worst Apartment Ever Ive only lived here for a few months and so many things have been wrong with this place. The first day I had to also break down the front door to get it because the maintenance people painted over it. The peephole is half sprayed painted, which isnt very safe when you live by yourself and are a woman. My oven was broken for the first two months and the leasing office is completely unremorseful. After working 12 hr shifts in the hospital I think I should be Atleast able to cook my own food instead of spending more money. The online system took too little rent out and I contacted the leasing office multiple times, leaving emails and voice messages. I was told that the online payment system has nothing to do with the apartment complex and that it was user error when all I did was put in my card number. I asked for assistance using the site and was not helped even though the leasing agent lives at this complex and uses the system herself. The assistance manager Michela told me that they are always busy and that I just need to come in every single time something is wrong. Since then, Ive been coming in every week with a new complaint and its exhausting. They are very obviously short staffed and just overall unable to do their jobs well. The straw that broke the camels back for me was coming home after work to see a key from the leasing office in my door. When I bought it back to the leasing office the manager Mel said that she wasnt sure why it was there and that she would tell whoever to be more responsible when she found out who was at fault. I feel very unsafe here now and cannot wait to move next month. I hope no one lives here after this. Its not safe, the parking lot has almost no lights, packages get stolen off your stoop and the leasing office turns a blind eye. Please look elsewhere for your own mental and physical wellbeing

***UPDATE** Changing previous rating and comment. please know most of these good reviews are because you get your application free or money off once they see the review. Now that Ive lived here 2 years Im updating my review. The cost for these apartments are not worth the little amenities they provide. The appliances are outdated even on the remodeled units that they are up charging for. The rental office has horrid communication especially when its something the tenants should be aware of such as chemicals being used in one apartment that the strong smell may seep into other apartments (has happened multiple times) the only plus is the gym has a universal weight machine
