Trains are always always late, they never have any real excuse other than some freight train cutting off passenger lines or mechanical problems. Mechanical problems? I guess that happens when the entire fleet is from the 70s and rigged together. The trains are the nastiest around, they look like the bought them used from the Philippines or something. Nasty yellow walls, can't even see out of some of windows because the plastic is so old and hazy. I would like to see their books and see where all the money goes, it definitely doesn't go back into the trains or the tracks.

I'm not from that city but had to catch the Metra to meet a friend after riding the blue line into town. I had to catch the 7:45pm train and had no issues. It was a $5 ride and the train was spacious and quiet. It is defiantly old, but I wish I had trains like this to help out my daily commute where I live!

It was a great day for the Cubs Parade/Rally, other than getting stranded in McHenry. The signs at OTC said track 15 at 4:45pm went to Harvard. We got to McHenry and found out it ended there and there were no trains back to Crystal Lake to take us to Harvard. 25-30 people were stuck at McHenry because of a signage mistake by Metra at OTC. We were told we had no options and had to figure it out ourselves, we had no choice but to take a $35 Uber. I understand mistakes happen, but the lack of customer service on Metra's end was very disappointing. A Union Pacific worker tried to help, but received no good answers from Metra.
