I wouldn't give him one star but I have to to give my experience. My little girl came from this breeder. Her name is sassy and she is an umbrella cockatoo. I take her to Dr Scott every 6 months and to a specialist in Louisville ky. She is a product of hartmans poor breeding abilities she has a beak deformity and kept her with the parents to long and as the doctor told me they tend to nibble on the offspring talons and now her talons are white and in poor condition. She can't eat almonds due to her beak deformity. And during open house hartman was very unknowledgable and seem to know nothing about birds. Everything he talked about was unjustifable and easily proven false. I have 11 males and females and they all get along just fine where he had stated they couldn't be together because they don't get along. Out of curiosity if males and females can't be together because they fight then how does hartman get them to bird and contribute to his business. They are just that a product of income. When trying to speak with him he was very arrogant and unfriendly and wouldnt listen and waved his hands stated ahhh and walked away after calling me an irrisponible bird owner. I had my birds over, 20 years and they are on wonderful shape and my rescues are in better shape than when I got them. I understand birds and know what I am going with the help of the doctors and specialist I go to. I am skilled to handle medical emergencies and I am far more responsible than hartman and sassy is proof of that.
