Great Product, Terrible Installation Experience After the backboard shattered in a manner not covered by warranty (bird or something impacted and spidered the glass), I purchased a replacement backboard and paid to have it installed by Pro Dunk. Prompt service from Zach and Ryan all the way around. Install was a disaster, though. I wasn't home when they arrived and my wife told them where to go. They assured her that they didn't need anything else. After not saying anything before leaving, my wife asked me to go back and see if everything was installed correctly. There were pieces of glass and aluminum shavings and shrapnel (very large and tiny) all over the key of the court. There was also a couple hunks of silicone along with a nut and a couple washers for good measure. Customer service was apologetic. 1:30pm but their crew was done for the day and couldn't send anyone to clean up their mess. Solution was for me to clean it up (because there was no way I could tell my young kids to avoid their own backyard for 2.5 days and no one with a broom was available until Monday) and refund the install cost. Also sent the guys back out the following Monday to make sure install was done correctly and that the extra pieces weren't actually needed . There were also specific instructions to enter through the delivery gate of our property (wider entry and direct unimpeded access to the basketball court. These instructions were not followed on install day. When I asked the crew about why they didn't follow the instructions (after I was assured twice that they would and that the instructions were there), the response was "No way, why would I do that? I'm not going to break my back." We are talking about dollying down a wide sidewalk and going through a double wide gate vs. zigzagging across black star gravel and traversing pavers spaced with gravel in my landscaping. They were completely unapologetic for any of it as well, to the point where I had to unceremoniously ask them to leave my property. The product is great. The owner and people working the phones are great. The install team and the experience with them was poor and disrespectful of my property.

Very disappointed in pro dunk hoops. Called a couple days ago and talked to Keith. He took my name and number down and was supposed to call me back. I had to call him back. The installation guy for pro dunk wanted 600 to 750 for installation. Goalsetter is 199 for all hoops now. Thats not even competitive. Keith told me more or less to go with Goalsetter.

I have had the Pro Dunk Hoop Gold for about 2 months now and I don't have anything but positive things to say about both the product and the customer experience. I am one who really values customer service and this is where Pro Dunk outshined anyone else in the industry. From my initial call to inquire about the product where the sales rep did not try to upsell me, to the courteous follow up and then the on-time delivery. I also really appreciated that they do not use UPS freight but Old Dominion instead where the good customer service experience continued. The post is awesome as well. Easy to follow instruction. Sturdy product. I am a very satisfied customer!

I could not be more pleased with my Platinum goal purchase. This goal has met my every expectation. I have had mine goal for 3 years and it has held up like a champ! no shimmy when you take a shot. From big guys to the 11 year olds dunking on it. Not one issue,except a dead bird that entered in the top and couldnt get out, need a cap or something. Thanks for all the help!

I'm sorry you're having issues with your system Ted. You're right ... what you're describing is a known issue from 2012. About 2% of systems sold had bad adhesion between the zinc plating and powder coating. This was promptly corrected in production and has not been an issue since. If you have not already been taken care of, please reach out me, Ryan, directly and I will make sure this is take care for you. Lastly, I'd like you to know that feedback like this is paramount to us. Since 2012, we've completely revamped our finish! It's the best in the industry featuring an all new hot dip (not plated) galvanization inside and out which is 8x thicker than the best alternative. We've also increased the thickness of our powder coat finish by 50% with a two step hammertone. We never stand still at Pro Dunk Hoops and thanks to feedback like this, we know what to focus on. I recently purchased the pro-dunk gold, installed and two months later the paint on the pole is peeling off at the fast rate. Upon contacting produnk hoops I was informed this was not a new problem to them and I should fix it. The warranty does not cover shipping so this is a major issue if any part of the system fails and needs to be returned. The support team does not return emails and is non existent. I would not purchase this system again.
