My husband and I have lived here for 2 years, and we love it. It's nice to only have 21 units in a building, not too many neighbors keeps the building relatively quite. The walls are thick and we never hear our neighbors, which was a huge upgrade from our last apartment. The building is new, so all the amenities are top notch and I LOVE our master bathroom over-sized separate tub. Another plus is the management and staff. Everyone is really friendly & they keep the building really clean. 5/5 would recommend living here :)
Sadly, my time at Moderno has come to an end due to the need to relocate closer to my job. Overall, living at Moderno has been a positive experience. This particular building is the nicest and newest on the street and the location is greatit's close to the NOHO Arts District and is almost directly next to the Chandler bike path. Though the building has a very upscale feel, I had a few issues with insulation concerning sound from both above and through the walls. The building was brand new, and I was one of the first tenants, so they had no real way of knowing how sound would travel from unit to unit before I moved in. Thankfully, the Moderno staff was open and receptive to my feedback, welcoming my concerns with kindness and gratitude. Outside of the few noise issues, the management at Moderno (Dahiana, Marlene, Bryan, and Eric) were extremely helpful and attentive to any issues I had, seeking to make our stay here the best they could. The team went above and beyond to take care of problems to make sure we were happy tenants. Dahiana even went out of her way to have catered gatherings for tenants on the beautiful rooftop to foster community spirit! Moderno continues to expand and grow throughout the city, and after living here for a few years, it is clear to see why they are so successful. I am sure that so long as the same team (Dahiana, Marlene, Bryan, and Eric) is in charge, Moderno will continue to thrive (and I hope the four of them are compensated commensurate with Moderno's growth because they are extremely dedicated and hard working!). I would like to make the following recommendations on how Moderno could improve this building and future ones: laminate flooring (so much easier to clean and maintain than carpet); visitor parking; medicine cabinets (or bathroom cabinets with drawers); more closet space instead of separate bathtubs (they were nice, but almost never used); a recycling chute (not just a trash chute); and, most importantly, extra insulation between all walls, especially shared walls with common areas (particularly the gym and rec room). If you're looking for a great apartment in the NoHo Arts District, with creative and luxury amenities, it doesnt get much better than Moderno. Highly recommend!
