Strongly recommend you do NOT use this nursery. I ordered 5 items: redcurrant, blackcurrant, two different gooseberries and a Medana tayberry. All the items arrived dormant but labelled as ordered. The redcurrant, in spite of being labelled correctly, was in fact a whitecurrant. The nursery was difficult to contact by phone and did not respond to my email for weeks. When I did receive a response, it was unapologetic and downright rude. The Medana tayberry supplied is a Japanese wineberry, and one of the gooseberry cultivars is not as ordered. So, out of 5 plants, three are not the ones I ordered and paid for. After the appalling and frustrating experience of obtaining a replacement redcurrant for the whitecurrant, I have decided not to bother repeating the exercise with the others, but to start again with a more trustworthy nursery. Read the reviews: as others have said, the 5 stars are overseas and most likely fake or paid for. Reality is reflected in the 1 star reviews.
I ordered an Apricot tree in July. They got in touch with me shortly after saying they were out of stock and offered EITHER a delayed delivery in October (with an additional free tree) or a refund. I regret to have opted for the former. Mid December and I still have had nothing from them. My emails are largely unanswered, and I am always fobbed off with "Please be patient". Well, I have been patient for over 6 months now, and it is time to deliver. I understand that COVID puts everyone under strain, but you cannot ignore customers and fob them off. Just giving me a firm delivery date would have been helpful.
I can highly recommend this nursery. The quality of the plants is excellent. The shrubs are strong and healthy. They are carefully packaged and there is helpful advise on the website. The service is outstanding. Full marks on all levels.
This nursery is great. They have very reasonable prices and everyone was super nice there. They even called me to let me know when they had some more plants come in that I needed. I'll definitely be back soon.
Avoid, this company is taking money and not fulfilling orders. (Edit: 2 months after ordering I asked for a refund. I had no response. So I suggested I would make a claim through the small claims court, if they did not refund within 7 days. A delivery arrived very quickly after this. I had since ordered elsewhere. The ones received from Chris Bowers look poor quality next to the others. Small claims court is 25 which they pay if court sides with you.) I ordered 3 grapevines from here nearly 2 months ago. It said allow 28 days for delivery. We are now well beyond this. There is no communication. I have since ordered elsewhere and received within a week. I have asked for a refund, but have so far been ignored. I have some sympathy. This was obviously once a solid business. I suspect it has been affected by Covid in some way. However, it does seem unreasonable to keep an online shop open, when deliveries cannot be fulfilled. Taking peoples cash in this way could be seen as theft or fraud?
