Came to recycle some fluorescent light bulbs and realized the household hazardous waste shed was closed. There was a sign taped to it so I started walking over to see if there was any information about hours (normally, they're open Tue/Thurs 3:00-5:00 per their website). This man (didn't catch the name unfortunately) walks by and says, "yeahhhhh..we're closed". So I say, "I see that, I just wanted to read the sign", and he says, "it says: we're closed...you really should have called first what with the weather" (it isn't even snowing). I asked if there's anywhere else I could recycle the bulbs and he said no. Completely unhelpful first of all, and I found his tone so rude and indignant, it made me want to leave the light bulbs outside of the shed and bail.
