I was happy with my extensions, however my hair cut, color & wash was not what I have ever experienced before. I specifically asked for layers on the BOTTOM half of my hair where my real hair ended & my extensions started. Jan ended up layering my WHOLE head with a razor. I have VERY this hair, so you can imagine how disappointed I was when i returned home & found most of the top layer of my real hair, legit chopped, to a very short layer, after years of growing it out. I specifically gave Jan a prescription, in writing even, from my previous colorist, of what I wanted as far as my high lights & low light as my previous colorist recently left the hair industry and was no longer available. My previous colorist was using the same two colors on my hair for years. Nothing special or out of the ordinary. A high light & low light. In fact these Colors are what Jan matched my extensions to. Jan's response when i handed her the prescription was, "you don't need that" and ended up using two tones of bleach on my hair instead. No low lights. Not only was the color not what I specifically asked for, she refused to do it. She also did not color the sides of my hair or my bangs/front of my hair. She only colored the very top of my head, in my "part" direction, which she failed to realize, I part my hair on the opposite side, she colored my hair on. I was truly perplexed. When she shampooed my hair after bleaching it, she didn't wash my whole head. Only the top where the bleach was applied. The bottom 3/4 of my hair was dry the whole time & was never touched by water, shampoo or conditioner. Jan is a lovely lady and very kind however in my case she did not perform, as a stylist, what I considered to be a professional service. I recommend Jan for hair extensions, even though she is on the highest end of cost, however I do not recommend her for cuts, colors, shampoos or conditioning treatments.

This is a very old post and I'm sorry you did not get a response and we are sorry for that. Angela worked as an independent contractor for us and is no longer with Twist hair studio and hasn't for quite some time.We want the best experience for clients and we are sorry about your experience.

Such a waste of time. Angela Holiday seems in hurry. I never knew deep conditioning treatment is massaging the hair with a dime size conditioner for a minute. And it was the worse Haircut I had in such a long time. When I asked her if she accepts gratuity then she replied sure I can, as if she is doing me a favor. Salon was untidy, dirty and outdated. Never ever going there again.

I've been going to Jan Zweig at Twist Hair Studio for years and she is absolutely the best! She uses the best hair extensions on the market and uses all top quality materials for all her hair services. Her studio is adorable, comfortable and chic, yet very professional at the same time.
