Overall I loved the amenities of the campground, fresh water showers, kitchen, staff super friendly, campsites off the beach. Its a very cute campground! But....the locals on the beach....I was a single camper and the locals would have their 4 wheelers out late at night 20 ft from my site. One night they had a fire right infront of me and the smoke was filling my tent bc they were so close. Another night they got their truck stuck in the sand right in front of my site. The guys overall made me very uncomfortable and I didn't feel the safest being alone.
This was our first trip to Kauai and were not sure how the camp stay would be but we are so glad to choose Kumu camp for our entire stay in Kauai. The camp is locate on a beach so we got to see best sunrise every morning. We booked a Bungalow which is a good size for 2. Though this unit doesnot come with charging port, there is a common dining area where there are enough charging ports. It also has a shower and sink and lots of privacy since each unit was located far enough.
The view of the beach was lovely and the campground hosts were nice. The beach had a lot of shady local people, and loud motor vehicles driving right by the campsites in the middle of the night. There are also no consistent hot showers (hot water available half the time we were there), and not enough bathrooms for the number of people staying
