Wow - yes what a review! This person is just disparaging AfricaGems for no reason other than their own. Here are the facts. 1. offered me a ridiculous, stupid low ball price on a top sapphire gemstone - below my cost 2. They never asked me to hold the stone nor offered to place a good faith refundable deposit on it. 3. I countered with a very low price - trade pricing as they were locals and seemed to be a nice couple getting married. 4. 2 weeks later they countered with another ridiculous offer - again never asking me to hold the stone or put a good faith deposit on it 5. I again repeated my lowest cash price to them - didn't hear anything for another 2 weeks. 6. Got back to me finally with a counter to my lowest price. 7. Someone else bought the stone. Am I at fault for selling a gemstone for a higher price with no guarantee or good faith deposit from them after nearly 30 days - sorry but business isn't done that way.

Wow. We met Marc in person to see a stone. We negotiated the stone over several days and he agreed to a CASH price and told us to send over our information. He never sent us an email. We reached out to confirm and after a lengthy negotiation he sells the stone from under us! We risked going out in a pandemic to see a stone and he sells it from under us. Its terrible business and just plain rude. Do yourself a favor and dont negotiate with Marc. He is the worst and will likely just waste your time. He is just a middle man. Shame on you Marc. Shame.

My husband bought me a citrine set for my birthday. It looked really beautiful on their website. When it arrived we were very disappointed with the quality of the jewelry, size and color of the stones. Small, pale yellow. We contacted them same day to explain that we did not approve the quality and asked for the pre-paid return label. Mark replied with a stamp. com label. It was not a pre-paid one and he did not explain us anything. We asked him again and he responded that "this was the shipping label". When I went to the Post Office with that label, they told me it was NOT a pre-paid label and I needed to pay for the return cost. I sent him an email asking to please send the cost with the refund. I did not hear from him back. We waited from Wednesday (when he received the package) to Monday - as it was the thanksgiving weekend. Monday there was the refund in our account but Mark did not include our return shipping costs. It is not the cost of the return shipping we paid but his unresponsive attitude during the return process that made me leave this review.

I bought a few stones from AricaGems and they were beautiful. I had to return the ones that didn't match the project I was finishing up and the process was so fast and easy. I will certainly be purchasing from them in the future.

Negotiated a stone with Marc just to have him sell it from under me. Bad business and very rude. Marc is a terrible negotiator and doesnt care about his clients. Dont waste your time with this guy.
