Before I signed up with Plant Prefab, I tried to find reviews from real people who had used them, and couldnt find any. I thought that was strange, because they claimed so many things and I thought it strange to have such an absence of legitimate reviews. Since their website and designs looked so nice, I thought they would be a quality company. We signed up for a custom home and hoped for the best. Pretty soon we started to see problems, but we continued to hope for the best. We tried to stay positive, but that became more and more difficult. When they would send a customer satisfaction report every month, I would give low marks. When nothing changed, I finally asked them to stop sending me monthly surveys. After over 2 years, we finally had a design and a permit, and we were excited for the factory to start building. Thats when we found out that we would have to wait in line to have our house built. We couldnt believe it, since no one had warned us in any way. It took almost a year after getting our permit to receive our house. We thought once it was delivered, we could finally be free from them. Unfortunately, the factory forgot to install several structural elements, and now we have to go through the whole house and try to figure out fixes with the structural engineer. It is a daunting and extremely time consuming process. We still have a long ways to go. After we figure out all the structural issues, we still need several more months to finish the house. I cant in any way recommend Plant Prefab. The experience has been so awful and were still finding problems. On top of all that, they overcharged us by $200,000.00. When we pointed out the mistake, they corrected it, but I was shocked that a company could make that large of a mistake. I didnt even think that was possible. In hindsight, we should have just built the house on site with traditional methods. It would have been cheaper and faster. Our final costs will be over $1,000,000 higher than what they told us originally. That is beyond upsetting. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Youve been warned!
