We stayed in the hotel as part of our minimoon. We paid on arrival and shown up to our room. We did feel the decor of our room felt a little tired - crumbly paint in the bathroom and paper hanging from the ceiling. Unfortunately there was an issue with our sink in our bedroom - leaking from beneath and showers your feet with dirty water on each use. When I reported this to the bar after our first evening - the response from the lady serving was simply its not life threatening. It seems room 7 is infamous for this issue and its been like it for quite a while. On our next evening my husband had to go and request new towels as they had all been cleared as they were daily (is this always necessary?) and not replenished. No apology was made and we were given two bath mats for hand towels. We really felt disappointed on the service we had received for our superior room booking.

We are terribly sad that your experience with us did not reflect our usual very high standards, particularly around service as our team take pride in providing a wonderful guest experience. We take all feedback on board and, if you do decide to give us another try, rest assured we've a plate of yorkshire puddings waiting for you as you certainly shouldn't have been charged extra for this swap!

The service at this place is so bad. We waited for 20mins for someone to come get our drinks order like we were told, before eventually going up to the bar ourselves to the shock and disgust of the barman. The two tables next to us experienced the same issue. We arrived early for our reservation and no one came back to get us when our table was ready, we had to go ask. Everyone just acted like we were a massive inconvenience and they were unable to smile or be welcoming in any way. We got Sunday roasts and when I asked if I could swap my stuffing for a Yorkie pud I was told "the chef says no because the costings don't work out so it'll have to be 2 extra". All I can say to that is lol. Two stars for the decor and the food was tasty to be fair, but the staff need to sort themselves out cos they massively let this place down.

A little disappointed, room great size although dressing table not been cleaned prior to our arrival, sticky marks. No coffee pods needed to Pop to reception and ask. Meal ok asked for no fat on my lamb (if possible) unfortunately mainly fat. Breakfast not ideal, not appropriate to share, situation was rectified.
