I previously gave this 5 stars, and touted it as the best bagel sandwich in Chicago. Every since, they have gone downhill FAST. Looks like a huge personnel turnover lately. I think Hero Bagel and I will be taking a break from each other. Their online app to pre-order has been defective in the last week or so. My sandwiches have also been messed up every time. Today I ordered my usual Usual Suspect sandwich and I got a sausage patty instead of bacon, a plain bagel instead of the cheddar herb I ordered, and cream cheese nowhere to be found. The other day my coworker ordered the Usual Suspect and received a plain bagel with nothing in between. The last few sandwiches something has been wrong every time. Such a shame. I will review again when I go back and give them another try. Until then, I guess I need to find a new place.

You get different experience depending on the cashier working on the day. Some are very nice and efficient some will make you wait for 5 mins just to bag the muffin next to them after you pay.

Love the bagel breakfast sandwiches. BUT went in this morning to order my favorite bagel sandwich, and they don't have avacados.....ok, so I asked if there is a discount for not having avacado in the sandwich, they said no. So, why are they selling that specific sandwich then? I figure the price for that specific sandwich is because it includes all the ingredients in menu, so why no discount or why not stop selling that specific sandwich then?
