We are currently getting our oven repaired under our home warranty and the technician has been to the house 3 times over 3 weeks to resolve the issue (1 to diagnose the issue, another week to order the part, another week to schedule him back). He showed up today to make the repair and they had ordered the wrong part, so need to reorder a new one and reschedule the repair. Let the cycle continue...
To be completely honest, I was very nervous when my warranty company assigned this company after reading many of the reviews. I even contacted the warranty company to see if I could get another contractor assigned as I had a previous negative experience with another repair company assigned by may warranty company. I was not able at that time to have another company come out, so I took my chances. In all honesty, I was very impressed with the timeliness of the company's respons to my refrigerator repair. I was contacted within 24 hours of my claim and a tech was out to my house the following afternoon. The tech, Alex, was very professional and thorough in diagnosing my repair need. He had, after extensive testing, determined that the compressor needed to be replaced. He ordered the part on a Friday, and was back Monday to replace. Now my refrigerator is working again, and I felt the need to give a positive review, as they really changed my mind on their company. I'm very happy with Ava Appliance Repair and will look for them whenever I need a future repair. Just remember that every experience is going to be different, and customer's generally aren't happy if everything doesn't go their way, but I am very pleased with the results of this repair.
In one word: incompetent - from the very top to the very bottom. The dispatcher is rude, ownership is not accountable, and the technician created more issues than he actually fixed. How does a company like this stay in business?
