I hired Jonah Kilday of MK Workshop to design the interior of a townhouse in Brooklyn. Jonah started sweet and has great taste, but he was pretty disorganized and slow to make things happen. Some of that is my fault since I was overwhelmed by the enormity of the project since I owned basically nothing and needed to do a whole house. We slowly made some headway but it was like pulling teeth. The real trouble started with his idea to pursue built-in furniture for the living room. After many months of confusion, the result was an expensive disaster -- very uncomfortable, terrible sofas with nearly church pew angles, and $20k in expenses. When I complained about how disappointing the results were, he blamed me for everything. It was gaslighting and really sad. I'm now ripping them out and starting over with an in-store designer. I do not recommend MK Workshop.

Working with MK Workshop to design my condo was an absolute dream! Petra and Jonah are both so knowledgeable, professional, and creative! Working with them remotely to design my whole place was such a smooth process. Every detail was considered, and everything came out so beautifully! I would highly recommend them!

Working with Jonah and his team on my home in Brooklyn has been a dream. He has helped me with numerous projects in and around the house over the past 9 years and has always delivered above and beyond expectations. While I love my own taste, sometimes I just do not know how to pull it all together or have the knowledge or expertise on how to make something just "work". ....MK Workshop (and Jonah) does. I highly recommend anyone looking for a talented, clever, and honest designer to reach out.

I cannot speak more highly ofJonah Kilday and the entire MK Workshop team! I have already recommended him to several friends. I initially hired him to decorate my new apartment with store bought items that I assumed were more within my budget. I was so impressed from the jumpstart with his vision, project management, and professionalism, that I decided to allow him to overhaul the entire space - from renovation to interior design to art curation and even custom furniture! Jonah is efficient, works quickly, solves problems, has a knack for turning any space into a " bespoke home." I love all of my custom pieces and am already thinking about the next project I can hire him for.

MK Workshop has now helped me complete projects on both coasts, and as always, my expectations were exceeded. Jonah and Petra are fantastic designers with undeniable talent. Their designs are always met with awe and delight from me and others. I get flooded with compliments every time I entertain and have given their info to countless people. MK Workshop does not use templates or take a cookie-cutter approach to design. Not only is everything they do custom and one-of-a-kind, but everything is also tailored to the client's needs and tastes. I always feel my needs and wants are heard, and feel like my own personality comes out in each space they've designed. On many occasions, I poorly articulated a fuzzy vision or simply told them a goal without any concrete ideas on how to achieve it, and they would somehow produce the most perfect results. MK Workshop creates magic out of thin air. When I did have a clear picture of what I wanted, MK Workshop brought my vision to life in ways I never thought were possible. Their designs truly give breath to the more abstract concepts and ideas shared in our planning meetings down to the tiniest details. Jonah and Petra's communication skills make them the perfect designers to work with, and I have enjoyed collaborating with them on several projects. I also love their office manager, Tyler, and the rest of their team. Their organization, timeliness, and attention to detail provide a sense of security that deadlines are met and that quality is always present. True professionals, as well as creatives, the team at MK Workshop is as wonderful to work with as the superlative work they produce! I've utilized WK Workshop commercially and personally, and each time, I've had a fantastic experience and a breathtaking end product. As I write this, I sit in my gorgeous home office that is as functional and comfortable as it is aesthetic. This can be said about every space they've worked on for me. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will utilize their services anytime I have a 3D space that needs to be brought to life.
