Hi Keaton, Thanks for stopping by a[TEST] and good on you for looking after your sexual health. As you discovered, a[TEST] is service for men who have sex with men. Our funding is to engage with this community and our tests are appropriate for the type of things gay men get up to. Additionally, an HIV rapid test is not recommended for any low prevalence population (such as heterosexual men) as it leads to a significantly higher chance of whats called a false reactive. For obvious reasons, such an experience is traumatising and to be avoided. With our funding and the types of tests we use, a[TEST] is not the right site for a heterosexual man. The good news? a[TEST] is a partnership between ACON and the Sydney Sexual Health Centre and we have a wealth of experience referring people like you to appropriate services. Please call the Sexual Health Info Link on 1800 451 624, weekdays, between 9am and 5:30pm and they can link you to appropriate services. And Keaton, we still hope you will support equality and vote yes now that this information has been clarified. Have a great day!

I'm a straight guy who is travelling from another Aussie city and they refused service. They discriminate based on sexual orientation. So much for equality. It's just a general checkup but they erronously said it's like a man goes for a paper smear. No it's not! Don't go here if you believe in equality, it goes both ways. I may as well vote NO now.
Staff are really friendly and down to earth. The service here is one of the best I have experienced. The clinic itself is also very modern, inviting and has a great calm atmosphere.
