INFECTED PIERCING DUE TO IMPROPER RECOMMENDATION FROM JOE OF PIERCING JEWELRY (DAITH): So Ive gone to Joe for my Septum and a Daith. I loved my experiences other than the fact that both times I walked out spending $500+ which isnt what I was looking to spend. The thing is. Joe advised me that it was fine to put the below piece with pearls in my Daith as my first piece. I got it in February 2021. Problem was, that it just wasnt. 3 days ago I asked my partner to look into my ear, he said it was purple with pus and blood covering my ring. I take good care of my piercing. So I was shocked. My partner recommended a nearby piercing place over in Miami to check out my piercing. The guy said I could come in that same day- I went 10 minutes after finding out my piercing was infected. He asked me where I got my piercing and I told him- Joe Amato. He said of course- that guy is known for selling overpriced jewelry to people without regard to whether itll heal correctly. He also told me your Daith would have never healed with this piece in- its too big and he knew that when he sold it to you. He replaced it with a simple surgical steel jewelry for $45. I was heartbroken because I thought I had found my forever piercer. To make matters worse he mentioned Joe used to work here, and I had fired him because he had molested some of the apprentices that had worked here. Wow. Ive warned everyone I know about him. So genuinely disappointed. I saw another reviewer mention that hes been blacklisted from buying quality jewelry (I have no clue but at this point Im not taking chances). The reviewer also mentioned that apparently hes dating the 18 year old apprentice at his current shop. Old habits die hard. I wouldnt recommend him because he seems to be an overall unethical person. Quality piercer but should have better ethics when recommending jewelry and not grooming (near minors) women.

Nice to find out they are blacklisted from buying high quality jewelry. We probably over paid for low quality jewelry.. awesome..
