This is a small mountain with too many skiers and boarders. Very crowded. Been to many ski resorts in the west...this is at the bottom of my list.

Love it here but the prices are the highest I have seen anywhere. Pricing itself out of the market.

Every winter this is the place to go! Steamboat is making renovations over the next couple of years, and that will make this place even more amazing! Staff is exceptional, especially Andrea the retail manager over the shops. She went above and beyond to help me find gifts to take home thank you Steamboat and thank you Andrea!!!!

I spent 2 days riding here, and while I can DEFINITELY see why someone would by a house or property here for there family and access, the over favoring of the "family friendly" atmosphere kind of chokes the life and fun of riding or skiing there. There are perfect areas of the mountain, just coming off the lift or transitioning downhill hips, where one could pop a little jump but is not allowed (by order of the sign). At that's really what you want to do if your any good or are progressing with your riding/skiing style. I'm so for public safety, but I'm also big on good judgment personal responsibility and It's allot of money to spend on a lift ticket only to have the mountain authorities say "NO!" Steamboat is a fun, family friendly mountain that's got is own rich history which makes it a popular destination. I highly recommend going there at least once, just beware it gets crowded easily.
