I lived in Via apartment for two years. I do not recommend this apt, although its location is very convenient. Some bad experience I had are listed here: (1) This apt is overpriced. Every year the mgmt team increased the rent for ~$300, from ~$3000 in 2016, to ~$3300 in 2017, later to ~$3600 in 2018. This is the price of a 2B2B room ! Every year I asked for discount of old residents, which is a pretty common rule in many apt. The mgmt team never approved it though, so I decided to quit. (2) I lived on the 1st floor. The windows are very close to plants and soils in the courtyard, so the living room and kitchen were always disturbed by ants. The staff helped me to request ant control services, but it could work out for only a month. Ants would show up again and again. In the second year of my stay, I had to keep the kitchen empty and not cook at home. This is very inconvenient ! (3) At times, the mgmt team allowed some fitness classes to take the courtyard. The classes not only played loud music but also used the electricity outlet in my balcony. It turned out I paid their electricity bill ! I sent emails to the mgmt team but they took no action. (4) During my two-year stay, the firm alarm went off a few times at night. The drowsy residents in the whole building had to exit and stay in the chilly night for half an hour. The Sunnyvale fire department didn't find any fire later. No explanation was given in the next few days. It looked like the mgmt team never knew what was happening at night.
