I was sent an incorrect product. When I contacted the company, they were very rude but said that they would send a replacement. The replacement that they sent is damaged. I will not be doing business with this company anymore and I do not recommend them.
The person who helped my husband and I was uninterested and cold. It was a missed opportunity as we are looking to buy a kayak, two drysuits and other gear. Whilst I really want to support local business, I'd rather not buy anything here. It was just a terrible experience. After telling the person I am rafting the Grand Canyon, I asked "do you have dry suits?" "Yes." That's it! That's all he said, no help, no nothing. And in asking about products we know little about, the man made us ask the questions - but how to ask when we don't know what to ask? What an unhelpful experience given a 1.5 hour drive each way to spend $2000 and ultimately we spent nothing, because they didn't care, didn't help or ask for the sale.
Kayak Academy is great. I took their sk101 course and I feel so much more confident in my kayak. When I had a scheduling issue they worked with me in a fair and reasonable way. Very good people and very good courses.
Hidden gem of Issaquah. Located in the middle of residential area, hard to find, but really good shop with knowledgable staff. Have goos selection of gear, books and classes.
