Gym is new and was nice UNTIL I cancelled my membership. I spoke to the front desk to tell them to cancel my membership. A month later I was billed again, so I called and spoke to a women over the phone explaining I had cancelled. Next month I got billed again and had now 2 months past due. So I finally walked inside the gym and spoke to Andrew who signed me up and explained the situation. He was nice and we sat down to fix the problem, he said it was fixed and my membership was cancelled. So I was sure everything was fixed. Wed Jan 30, 2013 i got a nice letter from LA Fitness were it said I had an Outstanding Balance of $129.98 and they would process a charge again on the 1st of next month! I immediately called the club and spoke to "Sirus" the Operations Manager and explained the situation ONLY to find my self speaking to a person who sounded like he didn't care about my situation and just said there was nothing he could do. Well I don't plan on letting these people just get away with this even if I have to get a lawyer on this matter. Watch out for this gym because they are very nice to sign you up for the membership and treat you good while you are a member, but once you decide to cancel, expect the boot and very unhelpful customer service.
Now that they've remodeled it, its nice and clean.. the staff arent the best but the equipment is nice and its well maintained.. alot if gay men go as well so be aware.. Its known as the "gay" l.a fitness :)
Its brand new with 3 floors full of state-of-the-art equipments. Price is so reasonable that it feels like a steal. I paid $39 per month (pre-sale rate) and no contract. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, basketball court, yoga.. all included. They give towels, lockers.. Its just wonderful.
At first I thought the reviews I read here were harsh and assumed it might have been exaggerated but after I printed the free 7 day pass and drove 19 miles after an evening shift to get to the club I have to agree on several points. First of all, you have to pay a minimum of $5 to park in an unlit side of the garage, no door person so its easy access for your car to get broken into. I was told after getting into the gym that the free passes could only be used during certain day hours, they couldn't make a smoothie, and I had to turn around and drive 19 miles again after paying $5 for parking? I also asked the employee if he knew the opening of their location in Woodbridge and he hadnt any knowledge of that happening?
