Hi Emily, We are extremely sorry that you had this experience. We always put our members and customers best interests first when making decisions about store hours and website design. Unfortunately, on our Google Business page, we are not able to list both our office and shop hours separately, but we have been working with the people at Google to find a way to remedy the confusion that brings. This is why we encourage our members to rely on the website, which is updated daily to reflect any changes. This includes our shop hours. We are sorry that you do not feel the website is kept up-to-date, but we encourage you to visit http://www.gsgcf.org/en/about-girl-scouts/our-council/shop.html, which always lists the accurate Girl Scout Shop hours. This page can also easily be found by visiting www.gsgcf.org and clicking on Shop in the top right-hand corner. On our home page, we have a banner indicating the shop will be closed for inventory from July 23 July 30. As a best practice, we also encourage members, if they have any doubts about shop hours, to give us a call at 800-232-4475, and we would be happy to share whether or not the shop is open to avoid driving across town (or worse from hours away) to discover the shop is closed. Regular shop hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am 6:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am 4:00 pm, and select Saturdays (listed on the website) from 9:00 am 1:00 pm. And, as always, you can shop online 24/7 at http://www.girlscoutshop.com/GULFCOAST-FLORIDA-COUNCIL. I am not happy with their website they never keep it up-to-date. Their store hours are awful! They are never convenient for anyone. I have gone there several different times and they were closed opposite of the hours that were on the website. I spoke to a lady at the front desk and she told me I need to call ahead before I come in to make sure they are open. I think that's ridiculous and they really need to work on providing better service for busy moms and volunteers like us.

My daughter was transferred to a "non-active" troop after two years based on allegations and an investigation of what another scout said my daughter said. Then, I'm told it happened outside of Scouts, so it was not their jurisdiction. Damage already done. I have never in my life seen such unprofessionalism by the troop leader, or the corporate leaders. They don't build self esteem, they ruin it, and show how hypocritical they are. Save your children and the money.

While things can be a little crazy at times, everyone does an amazing job of banding together and getting done what we need to get done so these Girls can have the journeys of their lives. It sounds so cliche but my daughter and I joining and starting a troop has brought new friends, ideas and perspectives to us. My daughter (a 5 year old kindergartener) attempts things she never would have before because she "wants to be a brave scout." and "Scouts never say I can't!". She even broke her toe last weekend and had to go to the e.r all the while telling us how she is just going to be a girl scout about it and earn a patch Even on my end as a new and previously clueless leader everyone has been thoroughly welcoming and helpful. We love being a part of this sisterhood!!
