As someone with a French background, I might not be too fair. I had a chocolate almond croissant, a tiramitsu sort of cake slice and an egg and cheese/sausage on a croissant there. I went there because a friend was singing its glory for Jersey and I needed a little something to bring to a Thanksgiving dinner I'm invited in but me, I am from the city. So technically, It's not much to give an opinion. Based on what I had and seen. I'm not really too impressed. The place is tiny. The pictures online are probably orders Sook had. So, you might get your hopes up but for nothing just like me and expect to see thousands of goodies to pick from. No. An almond croissant needs to smell like almond essence first and taste mostly Almond with a hint of chocolate as the almond has a richer flavor.. There was no almond if not maybe the little sliced almond atop. Honestly, I think whole food does better. I'm not going to even say a bakery in the city. Most def, just get something at a whole food and go seat at a park if you must also enjoy a great view. Parking, there's none unless you want to pay. But I found a quick trick. Go to the Columbia Bank next door ! If your palet is just sugar. It is for you. If like me you like a Maison Kayser, Ocafe, Saint Ambroeus, nespresso kind. You won't be impressed.
Awful! Awful service, awful management! Ordered a cake, cake was not made at the scheduled time ( even an hour later)! Asked to talk to the manager, she just laughed at the "stupid's staff's mistake". NEVER AGAIN! And will make sure no one that I know goes there!
