I traveled 3.5 hours to have an upper GI and colonoscopy performed by Dr. Allen and I had never actually met him! I am a nurse and have been for 28 years-I have worked in OB/GYN, surgery, Emergency room and med/surg. Dr. Allens bedside manner is wonderful and I can say that having worked with many doctors/surgeons over the years. He introduces himself, explains everything, makes sure you understand what is going to happen and follows up with you after the procedure in such a manner that you feel as if youve known him for years. I had a terrible migraine when I arrived for my appointment and he was kind, concerned and checked on me in between cases. In a day that you just arent always sure what you will get when you arrive places whether it is a store or a doctor appointment, I was very impressed with the professionalism, communication and concern this doctor had for me especially having never met me before. Thank you, Dr. Allen.

At nearly 70, this was my first colonoscopy and I was so scared and apprehensive. Dr. Allen's administrative assistant Wendy helped me so much in easing my fears and talking me through the prep procedure. When I got there I was treated like family by Dr. Allen and his staff. He even called me a few days later to check on me.

My Husband has seen Dr. Allen for a consultation regarding a negative Cologard test. He scheduled him for a Colonoscopy procedure very quickly. The results of that did not go well. Turns out my Husband has Colon Cancer. Dr.Allen was very clear on telling us what needed to be done. A CT scan was promptly scheduled with a surgical date to follow. We are in the middle of this unexpected experience and do not know how it will turn out. I can say we both are blessed to have Dr. Allen on our side . He has been fantastic. He has called several times to see how we are making out. One call was late Friday evening . We can honestly say neither one of us ever had a Doctor that was so outgoing and concerned about our situation. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Allen. He put my mind at ease by meeting with me before my un-sedated colonoscopy. He was happy to comply with my wishes to not be sedated, and explained that he does approximately three of these a week. He told me exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to do it, what I might expect, and asked if I had any questions. He shared statistics with me on risks, and I went in to the room completely free of anxiety. He was personable and put my mind at ease. I will seek him out to do my 2nd colonoscopy in 10 years.

I had a Colonoscopy on Feb. 1, 2022 and I am so glad that I did. I wish more people would or could do it at a younger age. My Acid Reflux is also better. I Dr. Allen and his Staff. Thanks for being there!
